THE EAST MEETS AFRICA IN ONE SPECIAL GIN

Distilled using real juniper berries – as all good gins are – and infused with Asian guava, ginger, buchu and Rooibos, bringing together Africa and the East in a passionate burst of flavour, Dragon’s Keeper is an elegant, robust drink with a herby hint and a smooth finish.
Aided by the twinkle of liquorice, a bite of coriander, earthy angelica root and citrus fruit fervour, Dragon’s Keeper is more than just a gin, it’s a journey: an adventure of epic proportions.

Like the majestic creature that gives it its name, Dragon’s Keeper is fierce, fearless and powerful.

THE LEGEND OF DRAGON'S KEEPER

In ancient folklore, someone who can guide, protect and command dragons and their immense power, is revered as a person of great courage and wisdom, and a unifier of worlds.

That spirit of unification is epitomised in every bottle and with every sip of Dragon’s Keeper.

Corralling the enigmatic Asian flavour combination of white guava, coriander, ginger and liquorice with the distinctive African tastes of Rooibos, buchu and Eastern Cape citrus, the modest, yet potent juniper berry portrays both guide and gatekeeper to your drinking enjoyment.

ELEMENTS THAT MAKES DRAGON'S KEEPER

null

ASIAN GUAVA

More apple-crispy than its red and pink cousins, the white Asian guava is also richer in vitamin C, has a sweeter taste and a faint musky aroma.  Grown mainly in Asia, notably Thailand and Taiwan, the white guava is also bountiful in the Central American climate.

BUCHU

Known as South Africa’s ‘miracle herb’, it has been used by the indigenous Khoisan for centuries as a medicinal elixir. High in antioxidants, bioflavonoids and rich in vitamins A, B and E, its flavour is derived from its leaves, which can be made into a tea or natural oil. Its strong minty aroma and fruity taste makes it perfect for a gin of Dragon’s Keeper quality.

JUNIPER BERRIES

The most important ingredient in gin. A dark purple ‘berry’ derived from the coniferous juniper tree – its fleshy cone is the only known conifer spice. The juniper berry gives the gin its distinctive sharp, bitter taste and while most gins might have the same typical taste, only the best, purest gin brands – like Dragon’s Keeper – use real juniper berries as opposed to juniper extract used in more common brands.

ROOIBOS

The favourite South African herbal tea is derived from the Fabaceae fynbos. It contains no caffeine and has low tannin levels compared to other herbal teas. Its earthy, pleasant flavour and aroma has made it a popular ingredient in food, wine and health drinks…and now Dragon’s Keeper gin.
